One box does it all
The Technics SC-C70MK2 really is the one-box system that does it all. A powerful amp combines with newly improved speaker system to deliver room-filling sound. Streaming music options include Chromecast, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth and a whole host of music streaming services. When you don’t want to stream, there’s also a DAB/FM tuner to hand. Unlike most premium systems, the SC-C70MK2 also features a built-in CD player – keeping you in touch with your favourite silver discs.
Newly developed speaker system with 2.1 channel sound
Packed in to this compact system is a top quality, 2.1 speaker system. Two-way, stereo speakers combine new, 8cm mid-range units with Hi-res compatible, silk tweeters. Between them, they create a broad soundstage with crystalline resolution. Fitted with acoustic lenses, the tweeters project the sound further into the room, for an open and transparent sound. Bringing some muscle to your music, the dedicated subwoofer uses the bass reflex cabinet to expand the music’s dynamics.

Full of Technics knowhow, the SC-C70MK2 delivers a stunning sound from a compact box. Helping to reduce distortion to a minimum is the 3-channel JENO (Jitter Elimination and Noise-shaping Optimization) engine. The Technics system reduces jitter at both ends of the frequency range, giving you crystal-clear clarity. It also features LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration). This uses corrective processing to get the perfect alignment with the built-in speakers.
Get the best sound anywhere in your room, with Space Tune
Space Tune Auto features a built-in mic and processing software that analyses the room’s acoustics via test tones and adjusts the output to suit. All this is done at the touch of a button, so there’s no need for complex set-ups. There are also three presets, giving optimum settings for free standing, near-wall and in-corner locations.
Advanced networking including Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth
Built-in Chromecast is the perfect partner for your Android smartphone. It gives easy access to a vast range of music and podcast apps, all intuitively controllable from your smartphone. Built-in Apple AirPlay 2 means that you can stream music from your Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad or other compatible Apple device, wirelessly. Bluetooth gives quick and easy access for friends to play music from their phone or for when the wi-fi might be down.
Stream your music and save your favourite
Compatible with Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer and featuring Internet radio, the SC-C70MK2 gives you easy access to a near unlimited supply of streaming music. Making access fast and easy, Favourite function lets you quickly access nine favourites – including USB tracks and conventional radio stations.
Multi-room compatible
Featuring the latest streaming tech, there are two ways the SC-C70MK2 adapts to multi-room. Choose between systems with other Apple AirPlay 2 or Chromecast speakers in the system. In addition, use the Technics Audio Centre app and link up other compatible Technics devices using Chromecast.
Works with Google Assistant
When a used in a system with a Google Assistant built-in, the SC-C70MK2 can be voice controlled. Control music playback and other functions, hands-free by simple voice command.
Top quality CD player and DAB/FM tuner
Taking centre stage, a Perspex plate glides to one side to reveal a high quality CD player. Using their decades of experience with CD players, Technics have produced a super-smooth sounding and highly detailed player. Although the Technics system is a fully equipped streamer it certainly hasn’t forgotten about your silver discs; playing them to their best ability. Thanks to the built-in DAB/FM tuner, you can also access all your local and national radio stations, too.
The centre for other sources
As well as built-in streaming, radio and CD player, the SC-C70MK2 acts as the hub of your system. Use the optical digital input to connect your TV or games console. A 3.5mm analogue input is ideal for use with a phono pre-amp equipped turntable or line level source. A USB-A input lets you plug in your memory stick and easily access digital tracks and playlists.
Unique Technics style
This premium music system is just as serious about style as it is sound. A heavily ribbed front panel contrasts with the dark silver aluminium top plate to give a unique and striking appearance. The heavy Perspex CD lid glides open to add theatre to playing your music.
