Birchmeier DR5 – Professional Powder Duster with Compressed Air Connector
The Birchmeier DR5 is a professional powder duster that comes with a compressed air connector, making it suitable for a wide range of uses. It features a transparent pressure tank with a 5-litre filling volume that can hold up to 5 kilograms of powder (crushed stone), making it perfect for biological use such as diatomaceous earth, rock dust, primitive rock dust, algae lime powder, and more. The powder duster is equipped with a safety and pressure relief valve of 4 bar and a powerful hand pump for pressure generation. It also has a fibre-reinforced and kink-resistant hose that avoids powder blockages and comes with a carrying belt for convenient working. The Birchmeier DR5 Powder Duster includes a powder tube with an outer diameter of 6mm, crack and crevice brass nozzles, and has a maximum operating pressure of 3 bar.

Use Instructions
- Filling the tank: Unscrew the pump and fill the tank, making sure not to exceed the maximum permissible volume of powder.
- Pressurizing the tank: Screw in the pump and pump up until the red mark appears on the pressure-relief valve. Operating pressure has then been reached.
- Compressed air: To use an external pressure source, a pressure-reducing valve must be used, set to a maximum pressure of 3 bar.
- Carrying the sprayer: The appliance can be carried either by the pump-handle or by means of the carrying-strap over the shoulder.
- Dusting: The material is discharged by operating the pistol-valve. During operation, the container must be shaken regularly.
- Releasing the pressure: Before unscrewing the pump to refill or empty the tank, the pressure must be fully released by lifting the pressure-relief valve.
- Care and maintenance: After use, empty the container and blow through the powder-tube and hose. Store the equipment away from the effects of frost. Particular attention must be given to parts which are subject to wear, such as gaskets.
Warning: Not compatible with Nadins Hydramix Lime (also called slack lime, builder’s lime, pickling lime, or hydrated lime). These dusters are typically designed for dry, free-flowing powders, and the moisture-absorbing properties of this product may cause clogging. Use of this product will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
